To fulfill the great commission (Matthew 28:19) by making disciples with a focus on
equipping young adults with a solid Christian worldview that answers the questions of our
origin, meaning, morality, and ultimate destiny. This worldview is based on a groundwork of
logic and truth-seeking that acknowledges the following things: there is one God, Jesus
Christ was sent as a perfect offering to atone for our sins, truth by its very nature is
exclusive and as such we believe the only way to God is via Jesus, the Bible is God’s Word
and is the best way for us to understand his will.
We believe it's important to invest time into our disciples so that we can relate our story, with their story and show how that fits into God’s story. To accomplish this we try to spend as much time with our young adults as possible outside of regular semi-monthly meeting times.
The primary goal of this ministry is to teach young adults sound Christian doctrine. There are a surprising number of young people today leaving or struggling with their faith in a post-Christian culture that embraces relative truth. We see this especially in our middle schools, high schools, and colleges. We feel that a solid grounding in understanding formal logic when applied to their faith is key to helping these young people grow up as fruitful disciples of Christ and reinforcing the truth of their beliefs.
We acknowledge the importance that all believers should be able to adequately defend their faith to those around them (1st Peter 3:15). This includes being able to explain who God is, why people needed salvation and how that salvation was accomplished. We wish for our young people to be able to intelligently discern truth from scripture and explain and defend those truths in our modern culture. We prioritize seeking understanding with individuals over winning arguments.
We believe that the Bible is the very Word of God and as such is the primary source of instruction on his character and his desire for us.
